  • Cut and Sew Jackets

Coming straight to the latest fashion trends in the current year 2018, the winter season is just around the corner. And the need for winter season apparels has increased in great demand amongst the people of all ages.

They are mostly looking for new and modern looking styling with the best comfort possible in order to protect the wearer from the intense cold weather. Cut and Sew Jackets are currently in the top fashion trends for the winter in 2018.

The cut and sew jackets are the popular selection of mostly young age groups, who want the best in styling and comfort to add to their lifestyles with their seasonal wardrobe choices.

There are various shapes and designs readily available to consumers on a seasonal sale, with a wide selection of patterns and styles to suit every age group at the very latest fashion trends.

The manufacturing process of Cut and Sew Jackets is fairly medium to not much complex. A jacket is basically an advanced sewing project that requires a pattern. Without a specified pattern design, it is not possible to get the exact look and feel according to the specs of the customer, that ordered the custom cut and sew design jacket.

The pattern helps to ensure that the jacket is made in the size and style that the customer needs. Sewing a cut-and-sew jacket also requires some special use of sewing skills, such as knowing how to read a sewing pattern, sew sleeves, and add closures like buttons and zippers.

The very first step in manufacturing cut and sew jackets is choosing the jacket pattern. There are usually many different patterns to choose from to use a guide to making the perfect jacket. The style of the jacket pattern is observed as well. Cut and Sew Jackets come in many different lengths and with a variety of different details.

The second step is to get the fabric and other necessary materials. The pattern will include a list of necessary materials to complete the sewing project. The list mostly includes the Fabric for the outside of the jacket, the Fabric for the lining of the jacket, the Interfacing to go in between the two layers, the Buttons, snaps, or a zipper, the Thread in a color that matches the jacket’s fabric.

The third step is to analyze and understand the pattern very carefully and follow it along accordingly. Anything that will be important as part of the pattern design can therefore be exclusively highlighted in this way, such as for example, how to lay the fabric on the pattern pieces before cutting them out in perfect shape and size.

The fourth step is to cut out the pattern pieces and then imprint them on the fabric as needed and as it is suitable for the fabric’s design and size. When the sewing process is just about to get started, cut out the pattern pieces that are needed to create the jacket.

Usually, the patterns feature a few different designs and the different pieces are labeled with a letter, such as A, B, C, or D, to indicate or symbolize which pieces go with the particular design. It also involves checking the design to find the letter of the desired design and then cutting out the pieces that are labeled with these letters.

The fifth step is to pin the pattern pieces to the fabric cloth, as per the design guidelines of cut-and-sew procedures. Each of the pattern pieces indicates what type of fabric is needed to cut out of and also how to align the fabric, lining the fabric, and interfacing, while other pieces may only need to be made from the outer fabric and/or the lining.

The pattern also indicates that the need to line up the piece along a fold in the fabric or is it possible to cut out anywhere on the fabric. Pins are placed along the edges of the fabric only to avoid damaging the jacket fabric. If the material is especially delicate, then it is better to use binder clips or weights placed on the edges of the fabric and pattern pieces instead of pins.

The sixth step is to cut the fabric along the edges of the pattern pieces. When the pinning is finished, cut along the edges of the pattern piece and the fabric. Ensure that to cut right along the edges of the lines and not directly inside or too far away outside of them. Then, if needed to make another piece from a different type of material, pin the pattern to the fabric and cut out the next piece.

The seventh step is assembling the jacket pieces by pinning the interfacing to the fabric pieces. The pattern will clearly indicate what to do after the cutting out of the pattern pieces is finished.

And the eighth and final step is to sew the lining, interfacing, and the exterior cut-and-sew fabric together. After all of them are pinned, they are put together according to the design pattern and then sewed into the apparel. Thereby making the final product in a finished form.
